Phoenix Theatres took an old Cinemark, completely remodeled it, added stadium seating, four Atmos rooms, and revived an old building in Grand Rapids. Constructed all throughout the pandemic, the completion was a huge accomplishment—considering the many delays and shortages they had to keep pushing through.
Boasting 14 screens, Phoenix opened this location in 2022. In addition to the four Dolby Atmos screens, this complete retro-fit highlights include VIP heated recliner seats in all auditoriums, mini perf screens in all auditoriums, piano lounge, alcohol sales, all auditoriums are reserved seating, 2 screens RealD XL, HFR, and Guitammer butt-kickers in the Atmos rooms and Christie 4K digital projectors. Phoenix pays homage to the classic movie theatres from the past around Michigan thru pictures and the naming of each auditorium.
